Welcome to the 2010 Capital Dancesport Website! We are looking forward to presenting an exciting weekend of exciting and challenging dancesport to all our competitors and spectators.
We have a few interesting changes happening this year. First, we will be starting the event on Thursday morning, as the hotel ballroom will not be available for set up until late Wednesday afternoon. So if you are dancing American Rhythm, we encourage you to arrive at the hotel on Wednesday evening.
Second, we are breaking with tradition this year, and will not be printing the "traditional" competition program. All attendees will receive a beautiful booklet with the essential information about the event. Competitors will receive their heat sheets telling them the heats they are in and the approximate time they are dancing.
A virtual copy of the program will be uploaded onto the Capital Dancesport website. Each session will be in its own file and in a printable format Those who wish to view the program and see who they are competing with can do so from the convenience of their own computers, and can print their sessions as well. For those who wish to have a copy of their sessions but do not wish to print themselves, stop at the ticket counter at the event and pick up a copy of the sessions you desire for a nominal charge.
Third, We will be attempting a new way of presenting Top Student Awards. With the current trend of many Pro/Am Dancers being unable to stay for the entire event, we have noticed some Top Students missing for their presentation which is traditionally held on Saturday evening. Capital Dancesport will present the Top Make & Female students with their awards at the completion of each style level. For example, the Top Bronze Rhythm Male & Female students will be announced at the conclusion of the Bronze Rhythm section, Top Silver at the conclusion of the Silver section, and so on.
We are excited about these new changes, and hope you will be too. Most of all, we wish you an exciting weekend full of fun and challenging competition.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

Best regards,
John & Marianne
